The L.O.X got signed to bad boy records, owned by sean "p.diddy" combs, in 1996. They were introduced to p.diddy by mary j blige. The group recorded songs with fellow bad boy record label mates, biggie and mase. They also dropped 2 albums "money, power & respect (1998) and "we are the streets" (2000).

After their second album, they decided to do solo albums. Jada kiss was the first to drop a solo album, "kiss the game good bye, in 2001. It was a successful album, selling a total of 800,000 copies in the u.s.a alone.
He dropped a second album, "kiss of death" in 2004, also a success, doing about 900,000 copies in the u.s alone.

At around 2005, he had beef with 50cent, and dropped some underground replies to 50 cent's piggy bank diss track. Tracks like "i'm sorry ms jackson", "Checkmate" and "problem child", were known to do damage to 50 cents image

He and group members, sheek louch and styles p founded a record label, D-Block in the early 2000's. The label/group comprised sheek, styles, jada,j-hood(no longer a member), some new rappers in the game signed to the label and some of their dj's.

Jadakiss has a partnership with jay-z's roca-fella records through which he dropped his third album, The Last Kiss, on April 7 2009. The success of the album led him to promise another album the following year, to be titled Top 5, Dead or Alive. The album has been delayed and now is scheduled to drop in 2011.
