It has just been confirmed that New Orleans rapper, Kevin Gates is going to jail for 6 months, for a 2015 incidence where he kicked a female fan in the chest while she tried to reach for his shorts during a show in Lakeland, Florida.

"Kevin Gates was found guilty to battery in Polk County, Florida, on Wednesday (Oct. 26) after he was seen kicking a female fan during a concert in the city of Lakeland last year.
The judge sentenced Gates to 180 days in Polk County jail, with credit for any time served, and fines and court costs, WFLA reports. He was convicted by a jury of six women after one day of testimony.
Miranda Dixon, 18, admitted to having tugged on Gates' pants during the concert at Rumor's Nite Club on Aug. 28, 2015. She said during the trail, "I was trying to get his attention for my friend."
Rumor's Nightclub head of security Joe Hailey testified during the trial that Gates' security team had not made any special requests for additional security or any barricade between the stage and the crowd for the concert. He said there were about 20 security guards working that night and that there was room for Gates to back up on stage if he did not want to be touched." (Billboard.com)
This would be real bad news for his friends and family as Gates has been trying to get his act together lately, and he has taken his Muslim religion very serious in the past couple of months. He even went to Mecca a couple of weeks ago, and has been dressing like an Arab for a while now. But I guess you got to pay for the consequences of your actions. I am guessing he was on drugs that day, or maybe was dealing with some issues, and he transferred the aggression to the girl.
People try to make it seem like the girl was reaching for his dick (as he claimed)...that's technically impossible when he is on stage and she is on the ground. Unless she has the super powers of Mr. Incredible's wife from the Pixar animation, then she couldn't have done that. From the video, it is clear she was tugging at his shorts out of excitement. It is quite disturbing that some people are making this out to be a race thing. They claim if Gates were white, he wouldn't be going to jail. Come on! Watch that video...look at the ferocity of that kick on a teenage girl...for just tugging at his Capri pants.
