Bernadette Hernandez -- mother of Bruno Mars -- died unexpectedly Saturday at the age of 55. Hernandez suffered a brain aneurysm. She passed away at the Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Hernandez was a hula dancer and singer who immigrated from the Philippines and nurtured Mars' musical talents from a very young age. Mars was set to kick off a tour in the U.S. later this month. No word on whether the death will affect the concert schedule. (TMZ)

Andre "3000" Benjamin's mother Sharon Benjamin-Hodo has passed away, a representative for the musician and actor confirms to Billboard. Benjamin-Hodo was the founder and guiding force of The Starlight Camp for underprivileged children, which she ran out of the New Morning Light Missionary Baptist Church in Conley, GA -- the church of her husband, Pastor Robert Hodo. In lieu of flowers, continued support of The Starlight Camp is appreciated by the family, Benjamin's spokesperson notes. (Billboard)
