then we have had Ice Cube, Queen Latifah, LL Cool J, Jamie Foxx, Common, Bow
Wow (Shad Moss), Ludacris, T.I, Method Man, Jennifer Hudson, Rihanna...the list
is endless. Legendary actor, Samuel L. Jackson spoke about this during his
recent interview on The Breakfast Club show. He said back when he started, it
used to be harder to get acting roles, but now a Youtube sensation or musician
can easily get a movie role.
Read his words on this below...
"...There's a lot more opportunities for people to work. Consequently, it still comes down to a lot of times, that same thing...you know, I used to bitch about it because I spent my time going to acting school. There are a lot of people who still go to Juilliard, and Yale, and all these other people. But, a lot of Youtube stars getting jobs now. You know. Still people from the musician industry just decide the next day and say, 'sh*t, I'm an actor. I can act.' And somebody give them a chance to do it. Sometimes it turns out to be okay, sometimes not so much. But, there is room now for everyone to work."
