Dave East Says a Collaboration with Jay Z Would Bring Out the Best in Him

During his The Bumbu Room interview, New York rapper, Dave East was asked who he would love to collaborate with right now, and he said Jay Z. He went on to say the reason why he would want this to happen is because he believes being on the same song with Jay Z would push him to rap in a way he has never rapped before.

Read his words below...

"Hov. Jay Z. I don't know. Honestly with that I would want to kind of create something. I feel like just his take on the game and just the way he done twisted words and...just his wordplay over the years to me has been so elite. I feel like it would just umm push me to talk in a way or rap in a way I haven't maybe I haven't done before. Same thing I kind of with Nas. You know what I'm saying."

He just had to put Nas in the conversation because he is signed to Nas's Mass Appeal Records, but the truth of the matter is that Nas hasn't been spitting impressive bars lately. In 2019, Jay Z is a way better rapper than Nas, and this is coming from the biggest Nas stan in the world. I feel like Nas started loosing skills on the mic around when he started focusing more on money and business. I ain't saying that isn't cool, I mean, he got on the Forbes list for the first time last year, but this has affected his artistry. He has not been taking time out to be creative...It takes time to create greatness, and it seems like Nas has just been jumping in the boot and spitting whatever lately. Jay Z on the other hand keeps getting better with each feature. His 4:44 album was so on point, and then the recent verse on that Meek Mill song is just so fire. Jay Z is definitely better than Nas right now.
