T.I Wants Equality for Iggy Azalea in Hip Hop

Just like people say Eminem wont be as successful as he is if he wasn't white, a lot of people have been saying Iggy Azalea is only successful cos she is a white female rapper. Some have said white people should know their boundaries in Hip Hop, and that the culture is not for them. While being interviewed by Rolling Stone magazine recently, T.I was asked if anyone has ever said any negative thing about Iggy to him. In answering that question, he brought up the issue of equality; spoke on how blacks want equality in the American society, but are not ready to give equality to white rappers in the Hip Hop community.

This is something I have also noticed. Read T.I's words on this after the cut.

"...Black people have stood up for equality, for justice, for being treated fairly, for whatever they choose to do, and we have had to break down barriers in Caucasian dominated areas. From Tiger Woods in golf, to I'm sure there's a black man somewhere playing hockey. And whenever it happens, it's always the same thing. Black people are like, ‘That's not fair. They're not allowing them the same opportunities, just because of their color.’ So why would we stand in judgment, when someone else is in the same position we have found ourselves in, why would we not treat them the way that we want to be treated?” (Rolling Stone Magazine)

EXACTLY! That's the same thing I think all the time. Why do you clamor for something but do not want to give the people you want it from the same measure of what you want?

For those who don't know, Iggy Azalea is not signed to T.I's Grand Hustle label; she is just affiliated with the Grand Hustle clique, and T.I mentors her. She is officially signed to Def Jam Records.
