Full Effex Addresses Nigerian Music Scene With New Track- 'Moment Of Clarity'

Uniben's finest, and one of the most gifted up coming Nigerian rappers, Full Effex just released a new song titled Moment On Clarity, and on it, he addresses the current state of Hip Hop in Nigeria. The song samples the beat to Nas's 2004 hit, Moment Of Silence. A few weeks ago, a popular Nigerian music website released a list titled- 'Top 10 Most Gifted Nigerian Rappers.' A lot of rappers felt offended that they didn't make the list, and some were just put off at the placement of rappers on the list. In a few hours, words were exchanged on twitter, and in a couple of days, beef tracks were released. Rappers took the list too seriously, and an all out war broke out.

On this track, Full Effex addresses the issue, saying Hip Hop doesn't have a solid ground it is standing on in the country, and that instead of beefing, rappers need to unite. Check out some lines from the song below-

"Can we please pour out some liquor...symbolizing the tears and frustration of lyricist/spitting real for people who don't know what lyrics is..."

"bring the real shit to the people, educate who don't know/bring enlightenment to the ignorant, introduce them to dope/put shit on Soundcity, Trace, Channel O, BET, and Base, Surprise these dancehall fucks n force lyrics down their throats"
