Last weekend was a memorable one in the Nigerian entertainment industry, as musicians and actors alike made their way in scores to Dubai (United Arabs Emirates) to attend
Tuface Idibia's wedding ceremony. It was a shocking fact to a lot of people that his former band mate, and old friend,
Blackface was not at the wedding. From the late 90s, to the early 2000s,
Plantashuun Boiz (Faze, Tuface, & Blackface) was a household name, and the R&b group entertained us with their soulful music.
Faze and
Tuface did a lot of the R&B singing, while
Blackface added some touch of raggae flavour. No one would ever envision a
Tuface wedding without
Blackface being present.
Read
Blackface's tweet below-
It is possible that Tuface didn't like the fact that Blackface dragged him to court a couple of months ago over the rights to the hit song, African Queen. Apparently, Tuface's mega hit, African Queen was partly written by Blackface- Blackface wrote the first two stanza's of the song, and Tuface wrote the third. Blackface said he had not been getting any royalties on the song as a song writer, and he had to take 2face to court to get his due. Well, we will never know why Blackface didn't get invited till we here from the houses mouth. Check out a pic of Blackface and Tuface when they were still hungry. lol!
