Spruce Names Her Top 5 Favourite Rappers

In a country where I consider a lacking in skilled mainstream female rappers, it is cool to see an up and coming female rapper, who is not on the bandwagon of most of the others that try to sound like Eve...or Nicki Minaj. It is cool, even if she is still in a non-refined stage, to listen to a female rapper in Nigeria go a different direction. Her name is Spruce; talent is there, and with an experienced guide, she would definitely go places. I have always believed that talent is never enough, and the reason I am rooting for Spruce is that she has that Enthusiasm and Energy that goes a long way in the entertainment industry anywhere in the world.

In quite an odd fashion, I ran into Spruce. An upcoming female rapper, who delivers her lyrics in the local Yoruba dialect. And, me wanting to know who and who her influences were, she let me know her top 5 favourite rappers of all time.

Check out out part of our conversation below-

Spruce

Well, he deals with the streets...He's gat courage and there's the uniqueness. He's so real n doesnt care about his words.

Kaysrapzone
cool...i follow you on that. What about Missy?

Spruce
Missy! She's gat skills. I've always wanted to be like her...but for you to be real, you gatta be real n be yourself n not imitating anyone. She's my inspiration.

Spruce
MI! I like his style...he's uniqueness. He came out with a different kinda rap entirely, n he pulled the crowd...well, he's something else.
That's all i can deal with.

Kaysrapzone
Okay. Thanks for your time.
