Rap Albums on Billboard Chart

Rick Ross's 5th album, "God Forgives, I Don't" sold 219,000 copies in its first week out, and sits at the top of the Billboard top 200 albums chart this week. This is the second highest first week debut from a rapper this year; first being Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded (253k first week). And also, this is going to be Ross's 4th number 1 debut out of five albums he has released since his debut in 2006.

Nas is up next with his Life Is Good album selling 32,000 copies in its third week in stores; bringing it to a three week total of 226,000. Rick Ross appears for the second week on the chart, this time with his whole crew; their MMG Self Made- Vol. 2 album sold 11,000 copies this week, and is now at a total of 201,000. I guess it is a win-win situation for Ross right now.

Flo Rida's Wild Ones album sold 7,500 copies this week, and is now at a total of 68,000 sold. Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded album sold 7,300 this week, and now totals at 606,000. Life's Quest from 8 Ball sold 2,700 copies this week, and now totals at 6,600.

La Coka Nostra makes their debut on the chart this week with Master of The Dark Art, which sold 2,500. And BIig K.R.I.T's Live From The Underground album sold 2,000 copies this week, and now totals at 81,000.
