Top 3 Highest Selling Rap Albums of 2011

I was meant to post this on the 31st, but i was a bit sick, so it is coming late. I wanted to do a top 10, but the other albums asides from this ended up selling around that 300k-600k range in 2011...it is just too far from the number 3 on the list of highest selling rap albums.

Number 3 is Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch The Throne album, which was released on August 8, and  had sold 1,166,000 by the end of 2011. Take Care from Drake beats out kanye and jay by a couple of thousands. It was released on Nov 15, just  month to the end of the year, and it ended the year selling 1,175,000 copies. And the album at the top...the highest selling rap album of 2011 is Lil Wayne's Carter 4, which was released on August 29, and had sold 1,882,000 copies by the end of 2011.

I don't judge albums by sales, but i have to say this three albums where really good albums last year...apart from being the people's choice. Game's R.E.D Album was a really cool album, but he didn't promote it the right way. And even after he found out that he had made some wrong moves, he still didn't do anything to make it turn out better...he just resumed defeat...there is still just only one official video/single from the album. Lupe Fiascos's Lasers was also a lovely album in 2011, but it didn't sell massive numbers. It did sell GOLD though...over 500k copies.

I hope we get a lot of wonderful albums in 2012.
