You got a visit,' for that dude to turn into the biggest gangsta rapper is like shocking to me. I don't even understand that. That makes no sense to me..." (Superstar Radio)He even had a chat with FAT JOE, about the matter, and he is still being negative...come on son! It is all entertainment. Shyne, you just said it yourself, rick ross is the biggest gangstar rapper, i guess that is the real reason why you are mad,a nd i guess that is the reason YOUNG JEEZY is also mad at the kid. I am 30, and have been listening to rap since i was 14, and i know that not all what the rappers say is true, so i can not be offended by rick ross, as long as he keeps dishing out good music. That's all i got to say.
And below is what he said in october last year-

I don't get that at all my man. I'm not saying you gotta feel the way I feel, but please, please have some compassion [for someone like me who is back home] from just doing ten years and going to war with the cops...you bangin' on police because they trying to talk to your girl, or they trying to touch ya mama in the wrong place. So I deal with crooked cops my whole life. Ain't nothing worse to me than a crooked cop. That's the worst thing you can do is use your badge to get ahead. I'd rather a cop just be a cop. And I respect where you stand, and you respect where I stand. But how a cop gonna profit from the life that I live? Uh-uh, I ain't jackin' that. So yeah, I just want people to be clear, "No, not the C.O." Nah, that ain't me." (Hip Hop DX)

ReplyDeleteppl! ..But anybody who's been locked up Hates them cops who act stupid n think they're who knows wut!! It's a them vs. us mentality..so can't be mad at Po for feeling like that! I honestly wish he jumped on some of them tracks w/ them dudes, made some hit songs n just kept it business w/ them. real rappers like shyne n pac deserve to be on top. I'd do business w/ ppl i don't respect. shyne needs to make dat money and we need that ol skool shyne flow mixed w some cool n dre, dr dre n swizz Beats!

Well, i get what you are saying, but he should have considered the fact that rick cross reached out to him, and kept it positive all the while, but he is trying to be a turf guy, or dwelling on a negative issue. I think negativity would get you no-where. It is not like rick ross was a police officer; he was just a correctional officer in jail for some few years in his 20s. He made some good money there, and moved on with his life. I really laugh when people go on and on about this issue.
ReplyDeleteNow he has been home a full year, and nothing meaningful has come out of it...no good music, no album release date. He should learn that you don't have to like people to do business with them.
It is amazing that people like Shyne try to harp on the fact that Rick Ross was a correctional officer at one time. So what? Being a correctional officer is an honest and honorable job. The disgrace is that people like Shyne think that there is some kind of honor of carrying a gun, shooting people and robbing them, selling drugs and destroying your own people and then winding up in prison. Shyne's attitude is exactly why he will never be anything more than he is now--a would be has been 'street-cred" rapper who will eventually be back in jail or working at a fast food joint. Wake up Shyne, the world has changed since you were behind bars for 10 years for being stupid.

ReplyDeletewhy cant it just be about the music? ross makes good music who cares if he was a co way back when he got talent and thats all it shud be about...what about some rappers that were in the armed forces is that wrong?
