It has been rumored that NAS refused an offer from JAY-Z to drop a verse on 'EMPIRE STATE OF MIND', a track on jay's BLUE PRINT3, that also feautures ALICIA KEYS.
Nas was even asked during a recent interview about the issue and he avoided the question by saying 'what's the next question'.
Now, i would like to educate people a little. Nas had a song titled NEW YORK STATE OF MIND on his first album ILLMATIC, back in 94. Then he had the part 2 of that song on his third album I AM(99). About 3 years ago, he did the part 3 of the song with ALICIA KEYS. So when you have JAY-Z making a track called empire state of mind, which is basically talking about new york, and feautures alicia keys, how do you think nas would feel.
Empire state of mind is a knock off nas's new york state of mind, point blank period.
