Recently, 50cents album sales have not been as impressive as they have been in the past. His 2005 album, massacre, sold over 5million copies in the u.s alone. Compared to his last solo album, curtis, that sold just 1.2million copies. And more dissipointing, the last g-unit album, terminate on sight has sold just over 200,000 in the u.s.
In a bid to make a comeback with his upcoming album, before i self destruct, he has been using a number of tactics. Since he has beefed with almost every rapper in the game(controversy sells), he now plans to reconcile with some of them to get some love. He is planning a cook-out in his hood later this summer and has invited over the whole d-block, and dipset crew, cliques he had beef with in the past.
one of his other tactics to return to the mixtape circuit, the medium that got him the initial buzz that ended in him being signed to shady/aftermath in 2002. He dropped his new mixtape, war angel, and plans to drop another before his album finally drops later this year.
