PLIES IS MAKING THE BEST USE OF HIS SHINE.

Plies, the florida rapper dropped his first album, "the real testament" on august 7 2007, with a first single, "shawty" featuring "t-pain" gaining air-play on radio. The
assisted second single, "hypnotized", which also gained conciderable air play.
Plies created a niche for himself, making songs for the ladies, and he has not looked back eversince. His second album "defination of real" dropped 10 months after his first album, on june 10 2008. The album has sold over 500,000 copies since it release, helped by the lead single "bust it bay" featuring ne-yo.
He dropped his third album 6 months after the second on. "Da realist" dropped on december 16 2008, with the lead single, "put it on ya" featuring chris j, also gaining radio airplay.
People are just getting warmed up with the album and plies is already talking of a fourth album to be released in april of this year, 2009. The album, which already has a title, "realer than usual" he says would drop in april or may,dependent on the success of his third album. His third album is just about three weeks in stores and is not doing so badly concidering the fact that he dropped it within 10 months interval with his second album. He has sold a total of 192,000 copies of the album so far, and still moving units.
His record label, slip-n-slide, is more like an independent label, so i guess he has a lot of freedom, and power over his projects. If he is getting about 8 dollars for a cd then i guess he wants to reap all the cash he can while he still has a buzz.
