Diddy Once Wanted Drake to Ghostwrite For Him

It is no news that rapper/producers like Diddy, Timbaland, and Dr. Dre use ghostwriters. This means they don't write their own raps, they pay ghostwriters to write for them, and then recite the rhymes. In his recent interview on Hot 97 'The Breakfast Club Show' with Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, and Angela Yee, Diddy spoke on wanting Drake to ghostwrite for him at a point.

Apparently, the issue Diddy and Drake had last year was about Drake putting out the '0 to 100' track, which was a record Diddy sent to Drake to ghostwrite for him. So, in other words, it was a Diddy song in the making, that Drake put out for himself, without telling Diddy. So, in the interview, Diddy was asked by the Angela Yee whether he sent Drake the song to get on it, and he said...

"No...No...No...For him to ghostwrite for me." And after he was asked if he had a problem using ghostwriters by Chalarmagne. he said..."As an artist, your allegiance is also to the record. You know what I'm saying. It is making the best record you can. And some times...somebody got a better idea than you, and you got to be open to that. And, you know, look at Whitney Houston, she didn't really write any of her songs, and...You know...You know, I never apologize for any of that, cos I wanted the best record. If someone in the room has a better record for me, I am the one that has to go out there and pull it off though."

So, guys, what do you feel? I mean, in the wake of all these news and reference tracks leaks, which shows that even Drake doesn't write most of his rap verses. Hmm! A lot of middlemen in the music business I guess. Just like there are a lot of stunts men that help out with action actors but don't get any recognition at all.
