Picture Representing Evolution of Hip Hop

Check out this pic I saw on According 2 Hip Hop page on Facebook, which shows the evolution of Hip Hop from the late 70s, to present times. Haha! I think it captures it quite well. What do you think?

I think a representation of the West Coast movement is missing from the photo. That was just around the late 80s, early 90s, and mid 90s. The East Coast had the rap game in a choke-hold in the late 90s. This is how it actually was; in the late 80s, the rap scene was shared between the East and the West, then in the early 90s, it was owned by the west, and then they shared the scene again in the mid 90s. Before the south took-over

African Bambaataa and Curtis Blow can represent the originators era; LL Cool J, Run DMC, and MC Hammer can represent the late 80s era; A Tribe Called Quest, Common, KRS One and Public Enemy can represent the conscious rapper era; the east coast thug era had Ghostface Killa, Raekwon, Mobb Deep, DMX, Biggie, Nas...The Dirty South era had Lil John, Mike Jones, Slim Thug, Paul Wall...And the Hipster movement which is currently in full swing has rappers like Wiz Khalifa, Tyga, Danny Brown, A$ap Rocky, Kid Cudi, Mac Miller, Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore, Childish Gambino and the father of them all, Kanye West.

Of course, rappers from all the other eras are still dropping albums, and rappers with styles similar to them are still dropping albums too, but the predominant sub-genre of rap music right now is the Hipster form.
