Master P Speaks on Past Success With No Limit Records

There was a time in the late 90s when the richest Hip Hop moguls on the scene were Russell Simmons, Puff Daddy and Master P. Real name Percy Miller...he put Master in front of his name so that when white people called him, they would be calling him Master...reminiscent of the slave times, when black slaves had to call white men Massa (Master). Master P was a rapper/producer, and he made millions off his No Limits records back in the 90s. But some time in the early 2000s, his success started to dwindle. In a recent interview, he spoke on the amount of records him and the other artists under his label sold while they were on top.

In an interview with VLadTV, Master P recently claimed to have sold as many as 75 million albums during his tenure with No Limit Records...When asked by an interviewer how many albums he’s sold throughout his career, P quickly replied “75 million.” When pressed, he clarified, “that’s my catalog with No Limit” before admitting that he stopped counting and is unsure of how many records were sold by the label in its entirety. Snoop Dogg left Death Row for No Limit Records in 1998, and released 3 multi-platinum selling albums on the label, so it is definitely possible that Master P's label did sell those numbers in reality. If you put his own sales, Snoop's sales, Sikk The Shocker, C-Murder, and Mystikal's, they sure could have put up those huge numbers.
