Drake Takes Subliminal Shots at Jay-Z and Kanye West

Drake recently took subliminal shots at Jay-Z and Kanye West, but if you are not good at reading between the line, you would probably not suspect anything. Read the story below-

On the record "I'm On One" featuring Drake, Lil Wayne and Rick Ross, Drizzy had listeners hitting the playback after his verse when he referenced a familiar album backed by two powerhouse rappers. "Hate the rumors hate the bulls--t hate these f---in allegations/im just feelin like the throne is for the taking. Watch me take it." Could the "throne" that Drake is referring to be the same throne that Jay-Z and Kanye West are currently warning competitors about on their upcoming album Watch The Throne? Did Drake send a subliminal shot at Hov and 'Ye? (RapFix)

First of all, i would like to know what Kanye and Jay mean by naming their album- Watch the Throne. Do they mean that they are on the throne? If so, only one person can be on throne, and people always reference jay as the one on the throne. But in recent times, a lot of people at pointing at Lil Wayne. And even though Drake is signed to Young money, it don't stop him from making his own claims for wanting to be on the throne.

I know that Jay really wanted to build-up his Roc Nation label to compete and best Cash Money/Young Money, but he has not been successful at that, and the rumor drake was talking about was the one flying around that he was crossing over to jay's camp. Then there is the time when Baby (Cash Money C.E.O) was all about the fact that he was making more money than jay- at least from music. And jay put it in a song that he spends "baby money", belittling Baby in the process, so it is clear that there is a cold war between the two camps.

Check out another proof that he might be going at jay here-

"My favorite rappers either lost it or they ain't alive," he raps in the second verse of the song, rumored to be the intro to his new album, Take Care. Fans quickly began assuming Drizzy was taking a jab at his "Light Up" collaboration partner Jay-Z, whom he's regarded as a mentor and one of his favorite rappers. (Neon Limelight)

Drake also, in the not too far past, made some comments about his duo album with Lil Wayne that would suggest he was throwing shots at Jay and Kanye.

"I'll be on [Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV] -- we've done a great song...We're going to do another one... and another one. We still got to do that [collaboration] album. I heard two other guys are coming out with an album together, too. There's two other rappers [that] are coming out with an album together. I don't know where they got that idea but -- I caught wind of it through the grapevine that there's some other album with two guys rapping on it. [laughs]" ("Tim Westwood TV")

lol! It can't get clearer than that; he was obviously talking about jay and kanye's WATCH THE THRONE album. My take on the whole issue is that i think in the long run jay and kanye have more respect that wayne and drake, but right now, drake and wayne are running things, so jay and kanye should fall back for a while.

Read an analysis i got from a blogger on sohh.com that deals with the whole issue-

drake and wayne sparr with jay and ye all the time.

wayne verse in 6'7 all about yay and jayz LOL

f-ck that shit, my money up, you n-ggas just Honey Nut
Young Money running shit and you n-ggas just runner-ups
(he talking about jayz when he said they had BABY MONEY and he saying YM #1 and Jayz them #2)

but these muthaf-ckas talking crazy like they jaw broke
(he talking about kayne when his jaw was broke in that car crash)

the fruits of my labor, I enjoy 'em while they still ripe (he talking about jayz being OLD)

Its a "friendly" BATTLE so i'm cool with but these niggas BEEN going at it lol
