Official First Week Sales of Joey Bada$$ "All AmeriKKKan Bada$$" Album

After one full week in stores, Joey Bada$$ sold 47,635 copies first week of his new album, All AmeriKKKan Bada$$. That's quite impressive for someone that is not a mainstream rapper. I think I will get the album later today and give it a listen.

Ab-Soul and Joey Bada$$ Arrested In St. Louis

The full details are not known yet, but Ab-Soul and Joey Bada$$ were put in handcuffs by police as they were taken away yesterday. This was during the Smokers Tour stop in St. Louis. Hmm! I wonder what they could have been arrested for. Maybe being in possession of marijuana...or racial profiling.

Rappers Joey Bada$$ and Ab-Soul were arrested by police during their St. Louis, MO stop on the Smokers Club Tour Monday night (Oct. 28). Several members of Joey's Pro Era crew were also placed under arrest. Little details are known beyond a video posted to Instagram (above) showing officials handcuffing the tourmates with Bada$$ laughing, telling one cop, "Have you figured out why I'm in these handcuffs? Have you figured it out? Yo, they don't know why I'm in these handcuffs." The cause of their arrest is allegedly marijuana-related. (VIBE)

Joey Bada$$ Wants $3 Million Or Nothing

Young New York rap sensation, Joey Bada$$ let the world know that it will take $3 million for him to sign with any major labels. He had meetings with Jay-Z late last year, and people thought he would sign with Roc Nation. Apparently, the offer on the table wasn't mouth-watering enough for Bada$$. $3 million is a lot for a rapper that doesn't have a huge buzz in the mainstream. Of cos he has a crazy buzz amongst people that listen to raw hip hop, but the unfortunate thing about that is that, apart from the fact that that market is not big enough, those people don't buy albums, they illegally download them.




During a recent interview, Joey Bada$$ was asked how much it would take for him to sign with a major label, and he said- "Three million [dollars]. Off the top. Hell yeah. [It would] get my Mom out the hood."
