Canadian born, American rapper, Drake has been on the Hip Hop scene for ten years now, and he has amassed a huge wealth for himself. He got signed to Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment back in 2009. Young Money Entertainment is an imprint under Cash Money Records, and distributed by Republic (owned by Universal Music Group), so he got a lot of money pumped into his career to jumpstart him. Although he still has contractual obligations with Cash Money Records, Drake has since formed his own label, OVO Sound. He has signed successful music artists (PARTYNEXTDOOR, Majid Jordan, etc) under his label since 2012, and also gone on to do partnership deals with big companies like Nike, and Apple. This and many more streams of income brought his net worth in 2019 to a staggering $150 million.
That is not bad for a 32 year old Canadian born rapper, who moved to America in 2008 to pursue his music career. Drake has released 5 mutli platinum selling albums in his career. All his albums have debuted at number one on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart. According to RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), as of December 2018, Drake is the biggest selling male artist in music history. He beat out Eminem and Elvis Presley to take that number one position. Counting singles and album sales, Drake has sold over 218,280,000 million records so far. He makes most of his money from music royalties, touring, endorsement deals, and other investments. The man is a cash making machine.
