JD played a strong part in Mariah Carey's come back with the 'Emancipation Of Mimi' album back in 2005, and he and Nas were at Columbia Records for many years together, so he has always been a link between the two artists. He posted a pic (on his website- Global14.com) yesterday of the two artists in the studio with him yesterday, with the caption-
WE STILL IN THIS BITCH!! #WHATAREYOUDOING!!! Translated to mean that they are still working in the studio late at night.
Mariah Carey had Nas and Joe on a song back in 2000 (Thank God I Found You remix), but Nas has never had her on a song before. I knew something was brewing when I saw them discussing at Nas's 40th birthday party about two weeks ago. Nas is currently working on his 11th album, and they might just be recording a song for the album. Or, it might be for Mariah's album, cos she is also working on a new album...her 11th album also.
