Nas and Common have always shared mutual respect for each other, and they took it up a notch by collaborating on a song together, titled Ghetto Dreams, which also has a video. Now, Common has revealed that the two greats are working on a full length album together. I guess this is the year of the collabs...Eminem and Royce Da 5'9, Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka, Jay-Z and Kanye West, and now Nas and Common.
Common's The Dreamer, The Believer album is dropping November 22, and people are speculating that Nas would drop his Life Is Good album in December. I guess things are looking good for Hip Hop. Check out what Common had to say about the collabo album below-
“At some point, we will do that. We’d talked about it and we had a good idea to call it Nas (Dot) Com. That was actually going to be a mixtape at one point,” he revealed. “But we decided that we should make it an album. And we will. Nas is working on his album right now and my album is coming, November 22nd.”
I guess that's all the news about the album for now, but my guess is that it would drop sometime in the middle of 2012, because for the next 4-6 months, they would both be working on their individual projects. It is always good to here news from hip hop greats like this. Both of them have been in the game for over 15 years.
