The fall of the southern rappers in hiphop.

About 4yrs ago something unexpected happened in the american hiphop scene. The domination of rap shifted from the east to the south. The crunk style of hiphop, common in the south was prominent, and it had everybody dancing to the so called hiphop songs.
Alot of other southern rappers took this advantage and floaded the market with their materials, adding their southern signature to the albums, and commercial success was theirs.
Rappers like mike jones, soulja boy, plies, paul wall, huricane chris, chamillionaire, are just a few of the artist blew up during this period. All of them seeing damn near a million in their album sales. But the same cannot be said of them now. Its like they were just a fard, as they come and go. Asides the big names like ludacris, T.I, chamillionaire, scarface, bun b, that have something in their songs and had already been established before the southern wave, the rest are now craving for ringtone sales.
Jadakiss, an eastcoast rapper with no radio hit, sellìng more than soulja boy.
