SOULJA BOY SAYS NAS KILLED HIP HOP.

I think this kid has lost his mind. His album is not doing that good, i guess that is why he has come up with this, trying to put the blaim on a legend like nas. And just for the record, his last album didn't even go gold, he just did about 400k. It was his single, soulja boy tellem that went double platinum, selling over 2 million from ring tones. So when nas said "your best succes is my worst blunder" you know what he means. You should know that "nastradamus" was confirmed to be nas's worst album, and the album sold 1.1million, in 1999.

Anyway, i think soulja boy should have a solid reason, so i have put up his comment from sohh.com on the matter.

1. Oh Boy
Showing a clear lack of respect for his elders, Soulja Boy rang in 2009 with hip-hop's first official controversial issue. Seemingly unhappy with not meeting his goal of going platinum in a week with his sophomore album isouljaboytellem, the teeny-bopper rapper accused hip-hop icon Nas of killing the genre. [Watch here]
"Real talk, the n*gga that killed hip-hop for real is Nas," he said. "That n*gga killed hip-hop. He came out publicly and said 'hip-hop is dead' and everybody started saying 'hip-hop is dead, hip-hop is dead'..."
Soon after his blasphemous comments Soulja was allegedly paid a visit by some goons who raided his home. Allegedly Soulja Boy texted a friend named Drama Kash, after the evasion. And Mr. Kash felt the need to share the info with the rest of the world. [Watch here]
Of course there was a response video from the alleged goons. [Watch Here]
SMH. New year, same goonery. Just sad. I'm usually a staunch defender of Souja Boy, let's just say I have a soft spot for teenagers successfully pursuing their dreams in a legal seemingly harmless way. However, I can't go to bat for the lil' lad on this one. Granted, Nas is not the same dude from 15 years ago, he's hardly the reason the game sucks right now. I just wish Soulja would have shown a little more respect for the legend, after all blaming one person for killing the genre is a wack premise, there is just too much other factors that play into it. I figured young DeAndre would have leaned this from his spat with Ice-T.
