rappin at 40.st

This decade and time in rap can not be compared to the last decade. Rappers like big daddy kane, cool g rap, rakim, more or less disappeared from the rap scene as they aged, and felt it was time to bow out. But right now, you have rappers that do not want to drop the mic although they are competing against rappers that could be the age of their son/daughter.Some of the big rappers that are on the rap scene are nearing their fourties. Rappers like eminem, nas, jay-z, scarface, busta rhymes, ice cube are all going to be forty very soon. We should ask ourselves if they would still be rapping about the same thing at that age. Eminem is 36, nas is 35, jay-z is 39, scarface is 38, busta is 36, ice cube is 39.
Then you have rappers that are already forty like ll cool j, ll clocked 40 earlier this year. Ice t is 47 and still dropped an album recently. Dr dre is about to drop his highly anticipated album early next year, and he is 43years old.
You have to wonder if these fathers that are still rapping would still be doing gangstar rap at midlife.

  2. The culture puts no age restrictions. A starry eyed 17 year old nas dropped d bomb on illmatic and was acclaimed the greatest ever. Age and experience willonly make him better. same for dre and hov'. The culture doesnt complain. Hiphop salutes its princes. BIG-UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
