Offset Says He is Overwhelmed By How Far He Has Come

During his recent on New York's Hot 97 radio, one third of Migos, Offset said that he sometimes almost wants to breakdown and cry tears of joy when he looks back at how far he has come. In the beginning of their career, he was the one going in and out of jail, but now he is the biggest member of the Migos, and is married to the biggest female rapper in Hip Hop (Cardi B).

"I have a real story; like a superman story. How did he do that. And I feel like that sometimes...I was at the house just looking at what I got, my kids at the house...I almost just breakdown. My first time ever doing that like...damn men! I got like...I turned into something. Ain't out here with no thing on my ankle. I ain't out here doing something to nobody else, breaking no laws, I'm paying taxes, I'm buying properties, I got some cars, my kids got all...my kids got good education...It almost broke me down cos I know where I came from, and where I came from it was dark. Dark. Dark. Dark. That's why a lot of my music be dark. Cos it is painful music."

Offset of The Migos Talks About Giving Up Lean

Lean is a recreational drug/drink that a lot of people in the Hip Hop community take. One third of the The Migos, Offset almost got addicted to it, and during his recent interview on Hot 97 radio, he spoke about giving it up. Apparently, Offset had had personal discussions with the host of the show, Ebro concerning his use of Lean, and Ebro asked him what he was doing to get off the drug, and he said...

"I'm getting off this drink...this lean. You know what I mean. It was never a cool thing for me. I was doing it on some...I never was pouring me...putting pictures of me pouring up and doing it. It became something I was doing...it became a hubby...it became something that I needed to do. Then I started noticing like, I'm not gonna get to my full potential with this. Then people started noticing...that you love. Like your momma tell you like, 'son, you need to stop drinking that stuff.' I take that hard like, damn, my momma told me that...I still try to like...it's my momma, so I still be like, I don't even want her to know stuff. I'm 27 years old. She tell me that, It's like damn bro. And, you make decisions...you make poor decisions a lot of times on drugs. And impulse...a lot of stuff be impulse...And then you do something and you like damn, you didn't want to do that...I'm releasing myself from it because I know it's becoming an issue."

Peter Rosenberg Asks Offset If He Ever Believed He Would Become the Biggest Migos Member

The Migos is arguable the biggest rap group in Hip hop right now. They are made up of three rappers, Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset. The three of them are related- Quavo is Takeoff's uncle, and Quavo and Offset are cousins. The family bound has helped them stay together as a group for almost ten years. At the beginning of their career (2013-2015), when Offset was going in and out of jail, Quavo carried the torch for the group. But since Bad and Boujee dropped in 2016, with a monster verse and hook from Offset, Offset has been the biggest member of the group. In his recent interview from last week on Hot 97 radio, Offset was asked if he ever thought he would become the biggest in the group and he said...


"Yea, because, all of us is special. You know what I mean. And when you support somebody else doing their thing you gonna do your thing. It is a rotation. And then, no matter who bringing the thing back, it is making the group a monster. So, one man can carry the band, it's okay. And the next man take his role, you carry it. Now it's on you. It's like...it's good that I can pass the torch...we do solos... after this though, back to the basics. We got a foundation, we ain't gonna never break that. And...I like being the biggest group cos there is no groups...it's a different vibe bro. It's a different connection with the fans."

Offset talks About Negativity on Social Media

Since time immemorial, celebrities have always had to find a way to deal with negative things written about time by people, but it is worse in the 21st century because the Internet has given the average joe a voice. While before, celebrities had to worry about critics and magazine writers writing bad stuff about them, now anyone with an internet connection can hop on social media and get directly to the celebrity through his/her words. In his recent interview on Hot 97 radio with Ebro last week, one third of The Migos, Offset took time out to talk about the negative energy celebrities have to deal with on social media. He said that most times it is even your fans that say the worst just to get your attention.

Cardi B Speaks on Why She is Willing to Work Things Out with Offset

Superstar rapper, Cardi B separated from her husband, Offset two months ago, and it broke people's hearts a lot of people had been rooting for the celebrity couple. Nigerians Come For Migos on Twitter



During a recent interview, successful American rap group, Migos were asked what their most awe-inspiring performance was, and they said their performance in Nigeria a couple of weeks ago. One of them (Offset) went on to add this...
"When we was on the highway...It's a third world country and it's a lot of struggle in the city...And for us to go to the show and they knew everything word for word...they knew all the words to the songs and their English wasn't even that good."



Nigerians aren't happy about the end part of that statement. By the way, to my American readers, I am a Nigerian, that lives in Nigeria. I remember one of my readers finding out I was Nigerian and being shocked. He couldn't believe I had a laptop or electricity to to get on the Internet. Anyway, back to the story, I am guessing the Migos member was referring to our accent. Yea, we ain't got the whole sweet sounding American accent, but most Nigerians write just as good or even better English than African Americans. Fact.
