First Week Sales of Nas's "The Lost Tapes 2"

Legendary rapper, Nas released a compilation album, The Lost Tapes 2 on the 19th of July, and after a full week in stores, it sold 23,617 copies first week. It debuted at number 10. on the Billboard chart. I definitely thought it would sell a little more than that, but I guess people don't buy compilation albums the way they buy original studio albums.

The first Lost Tapes was released in 2002, and it featured unreleased songs from Nas's I Am (1999) and Stillmatic (2001) album recording session. The Lost Tapes 2 features songs from Hip Hop Is Dead (2006), Untitled (2008), Distant Relatives (2010), Life Is Good (2012), and Nasir (2018) album recording sessions.
