Big Sean Comments on Relationship With Ariana Grande

The two have made a lot of music together over the years, they spend a huge amount of time together, but haven't really come up to speak on whether or not they are an item. In a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest, Sean spoke on his relationship status with Ariana.

"I like to keep my personal life personal. But I am going to tell you this: That Ariana is very, very special. She’s very special to me. Everything she has going on is good with her, everything I have going on is good with me, everything between me and her is good, and I’ma just leave it at that." (Ryan Seacrest Interview)

They definitely are dating, or are on the verge to start a serious relationship. One of the disadvantages of being a celebrity is that the public doesn't even allow you experience that lovely experience of falling in love; they don't allow you enjoy that time between when you don't know that you are going to fall in love with someone, to that point where random things happen to make you develop feelings for someone. Once they see you with a particular person more than once, they just conclude you are dating, and then leave uncomfortable feelings between you and the person you are supposed to be dating.

This Week's Top Selling Rap Albums on Billboard

Lecrae's new album, Anomaly is the highest selling rap album on Billboard's 'Top 200 Albums' chart for a second week running. Last week, it was the number one album in all genre in the whole of America. The album sold 31,243 copies this week, and is now at a two week total of 118,829 copies sold so far.

Rah Digga Says Iggy Azalea Is Not Hip Hop

Iggy Azalea is an easy target, and insults like this will keep coming. In her recent Thisis50 Radio interview, former Flipmode Squad member, Rah Digga recently said she doesn't consider Iggy Azalea Hip Hop. I love Rah Digga, but I have to say this...why is rappers that nolonger have careers that keep complaining about those that have careers right now? When old rappers still doing good for themselves complain about someone like Iggy, then I will listen.

Rick Ross Seems to Be More of a Priority Than Jeezy at Def Jam Currently

I guess Rick Ross seems to be a top priority at Def Jam Records right now. While Jeezy struggled for many months to get a release date for his fifth album, Seen It All: The Autobiography, Rick Ross has gotten two release dates for two albums in one year. He dropped his sixth studio album, Mastermind in March, and has gotten another release date for his seventh album, Hood Billionaire, set for a November release date. Record labels likes to do this with their top selling artists; DMX released two albums (It's Dark And Hell Is Hot, and Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood) in 1998 on Def Jam, and Nas also released two albums (I Am, and Nastradamus in one year (in 1999) on Columbia Records...and yea, Tupac did it with All Eyez On Me, and The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory in 1996 on Death Row Records.

Jeezy's fifth album, Seen It All: The Autobiography is the highest selling rap album on Billboard's Top 200 albums chart this week. It sold 121,190 copies after a full week in stores.

Rappers always use their star power to generate money from various sources, and Nicki Minaj has milked every opportunity to make her extra dough for the past 5 years since she hit the scene. She has really done a lot of herself in such a short time. Her next money-maker is her contract with Dazed magazine, to appear on two separate covers of their magazines...and also have extra shots for spreads inside the Magazine proper.

After a full week in stores, Jeezy's fifth album, "Seen It All: The Autobiography" sold 121,190 copies. I had earlier predicted it would sell between 140-170k first week...I guess I was a lil bit off with this one. This is Jeezy's lowest first week sales out of the total 5 albums he has released so far in his career. His last album, TM103 sold 233,000 copies first week when it was released in December of 2011.

First Week Sales Prediction of Lecrae's Anomaly Album

Gospel rapper, Lacrae dropped his 7th album (Anomaly) today, and I want to predict what it would sell in it's first week out. Lacrae is the most commercially successful christian rapper till date, and he has a dedicated fan-base ready to hit the stores to get his album anytime he drops. Of cos his sub-genre of Hip Hop music might not have a market large enough to get him to platinum status, but he sure does good enough numbers anytime he drops an album. His last album (Gravity- 2012) sold 72,000 copies first week. I believe this one would sell slightly higher than that. I predict that Anomaly by Lacrae will sell between 80-95k copies first week.

Chris Brown Speaks on his Time Spent in Jail

Chris Brown was in jail for a couple of months earlier this year, for violating his probation from the case he caught in 2009 when he beat up Rihanna. In a recent interview with Billboard Magazine, he spoke on his time in jail.

"You know, jail isn’t a place of many creative spirits. But as far as my creativity, I put it on hold until I got out. Jail is more of a regimen and a structure. I’m more of a free spirit when it comes to creating music, painting and art. So when I got out, I was very excited to get into the studio. I didn’t have any ideas or concepts; they usually come as I go [in to record]. I was drawing and sketching most of the time, biding time."

It is the same with most artists that go to jail; Tupac said something similar. They are not motivated to be creative, but the solitude gives them time to think and reflect on what they really want to do when they get out. So, when they do get out, they head straight to the studio to work.

Ace Nigerian music producer, OJB Jezreel was involved in a near-death car accident some weeks ago. He was riding in a friend's car on the highway from Abeokuta to Lagos, when one of the car tires gave way, and the car turned over.
