Read his words below.
"I just shot 13 music videos for Animal Ambition. With Ya (Tony Yayo), I put him in like 4 of the joints - I think some people are like milk. They have an expiration date. No matter what you do, they'll spoil after a while. What I'm saying to you is I've done a lot for them. Being personable with people, they'll feel like that homeboy code - 'You got it, so you should give it to me,' versus what makes sense. If you don't sustain your value in the marketplace, I gotta pay you the market rate. I do have to take a look at myself and in Banks' case, I can be considered a little inconsiderate because I didn't have those different things in my life. When his father passed, he crossed his arms and was like there until I came to get him. Then you heard 'Beamer, Benz, Bently' and then you saw the videos before that were saying, 'Directed by 50 Cent.' I'm not a video director. I had to go get the boy out his room to go shoot the videos. If you don't believe that, go look at his last Cold Corner tapes and no videos. You see what I'm saying?" ("The Breakfast Club")
Hmm! I think 50 Cent was like an overprotective mother...like an over-caring mother that didn't allow her children develop independence, so now they are like spoilt kids that can't do anything for themselves. It's such a shame that their relationship had to go sour like this; especially with Yayo, who could have given his life for 50's from 2002 till some time last year. Anyway, I guess that's life. You can't have the same friends all your life.
And speaking on 50 Cent shooting 13 videos for his Animal Ambition album, I don't really know if that is good marking strategy. Less is more in this business of theirs. This is similar to what Rick Ross is doing with Mastermind...he already dropped like four videos, and the album ain't even a month old yet. When you drop too many videos for a project within a short interval, they seem to not hold water in the public's eye. This is just my two cents.
