Last week, the world got to know of Brandy's engagement to long time boyfriend, Ryan Press. This is great news, cos I am a fan of her music, and she sings about her heartbreaks and all alot of the time. I know how complicated the love life of artisst that write or sing about love can be. I know that cos I write love stories, and...Anyway, I wont want to sidetrack you with my story, just check out what the beautiful songstress, Brandy had to say about getting engaged.
Speaking with PopStopTV on New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas, Brandy described her reaction to Ryan asking her to marry him.
“It was a surprise but I felt something was going to happen. But it was definitely a surprise because your imagination does the actual moment no justice. I said ‘oh my God’ so many times I forgot to say ‘yes.’”
A beaming Brandy also shared how happy she is now.
“I’m very happy. I’m definitely on cloud 11. At one point I gave up on love, so to have this feeling, and for it to feel like the first time and with the person I feel God has created for me to be with, is just magical. I want it to stay like this.”
As for a wedding, Brandy and Ryan plan to keep it in Los Angeles so more of their family and friends can attend their nuptials.
“We have a lot of homies that probably won’t come if we do a destination wedding, so we want to keep it as local as possible. Haven’t set a date yet, but I’ve definitely been imagining it and thinking about what it’s going to be like so I’m gonna get started.”
Brandy also spoke on the news of Kim Kardashian’s pregnancy and offered parenting advice to her and boyfriend Kanye West.
“I’m very happy for Kim and happy for Kanye. I was looking at pictures of them online and they just look so happy.“I think the key to being a good parent is to remember you were once a child. When you have that perspective, everything flows.” (freesworld.com)
