Rap Albums on Billboard Chart

Although the album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, G.O.O.D Music's Cruel Summer album is the highest selling rap album for this week. It sold 205,000 copies after a full week in stores. And, ironically, another G.O.O.D Music artist, 2 Chainz is up next...his Based on A T.R.U Story album sold 17,000 copies this week, and now stands at a 288,000 total.

Tech N9ne makes it on the chart this week with his new album, E.BA.H, which sold 14,000 copies after 7 days in stores. Tech is fully idependent, so he probably made about $70k this week alone from album sales...that ain't bad.

Christian rapper, Lacrae's Gravity album sold 11,000 copies this week, and now totals at 103,000. Brother Ali sold 10,000 copies first week of his Morning In America And Dreaming In Colour album. Rick Ross is gunning for that Gold status; his "God Forives, I Don't" album sold 10,000 copies this week, and now stands at a total of 408,000 so far.

DMX's Undisputed album sold 7,500 copies in its second week in stores, and now stands at a two week total of 25,000. Nas's Life Is Good album is at a total of 301,000 copies sold, after selling 5,800 copies this week. 5,000 copies of Slaughterhouse's Our House album left shelves this week, and they are now at a total of 76,000.
