Diddy's Networth

Since before I started using the internet, when I could only get information concerning music artists from radio or magazines, Diddy has always made the Forbes list of wealthiest entertainers. In fact, I think he has just been maintaining his worth over the years, cos he I know for certain that he has been worth over $300,000,000 for the past 10 years or so. He keeps grinding and discovering knew ways to stay relevant, and I give him props for that. I think the only things that has changed is his name.

Just yesterday, my Dad asked me if I remember when Puff Daddy's I'll Be Missing You was number one on the charts for several weeks, and it seemed it would never go off. That was 15 years ago. And my dad, who is now pretty old, also asked me what ever happened to him. I guess the change of name from Puff Daddy (as he was called in the 90s) to Diddy didn't help with my dad keeping tabs on him. This is 2012, and Diddy is currently the rap mogul with the highest net worth. According to forbes.com, he is worth $550,000,000.

Diddy is the closest to becoming a billionaire, leading the pack with a net worth of $550 million. The Bad Boy Records founder has remained a mainstream mainstay for 15 years thanks to his knack for self-promotion. Lately, he’s been channeling that energy toward Diageo-backed Ciroc vodka, much to the benefit of his bank account: he receives double-digit millions annually as a share of profits. Sales of the spirit spiked 122% last year in the wake of strong demand for new flavor Ciroc Peach; he is entitled to a nine-figure chunk of cash if the brand is ever sold.
Diddy also boasts stakes in clothing lines Sean John and Enyce, marketing firm Blue Flame, record label Bad Boy and a handful of tech startups. But it’s his deal with Comcast to launch cable channel Revolt in 2013 that could push him into billionaire territory. He’ll own the channel outright, and based on projected viewership totals, its value could soar into the low-to-mid nine figures within the next few years.

I think it is cool he is finally going into a business venture that would give him cool residual income. I noticed black moguls, apart from Oprah, don't look in that line, and that is where the serious killing can be made. Anyway, congrats to him on the cable channel launch; that would surely push his net-worth to reach that Billionaire dollar mark.
