First Week Sales Projections of Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday: roman Reloaded
Nicki Minaj's second album dropped 2 days ago (Tueday), and
hitsdailydouble.com has worked on the first day sales to get a projection of
total week long sales. Nicki's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded album is projected
to sell between 200-225k copies in its first week in stores.

The N.Y. Times just called her the pre-eminent female rapper of all
time. And while that doesn't say much--though supporters of Lil' Kim,
MC Lyte, Foxy Brown and Missy Elliott might
disagree--Nicki Minaj's sophomore Young Money/Cash Money/ Universal Republic
album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, will debut at #1 next week, with
between 200-225k in sales. That's based on one-day reports from our crack
network of online retailers and those selling CDs from the back of their car
trunks. (Hits Daily Double)
Last week, I predicted it would sell between, 270-400k; so i am not too far
from the truth. Her first album, Pink Friday dropped late 2010, and sold 375k
first week. In an era where so much attention is placed on first week sales,
are we to say that this album is not as good as the first? Personally, i think
she tried to satisfy everyone on this album, tilting more to the white population, and i guess it didn't quite work.
This is a schizophrenic album if you would ask me.
