Nas Has The Forth Quarter to Prove His Greatness

Nas is currently working on the completion of his 10th album, which is yet to be titled (was formerly titled LIFE IS GOOD). Nas would have a upper hand if he can drop in the forth quarter, because there are not really any more big rap releases till next year (except Drake's Take Care in October). I think if he can work on getting the album out by November or December, it would give him enough room to dominate the chats, and for people to pay more attention to him.

He has never really been a huge commercial rapper, but there is just a void in Hip Hop right now, that his style of music can feel. And if he can come with an incredible album, it would be the better. His most commercial tracks have been 'Hate Me Now' with Puffy, and If I Ruled The World with Lauryn Hill- lets see if he has tracks like that on this album.

He has only dropped a street single, "Nasty" so far, but there has been word that he has a track with Frank Ocean, AZ, and maybe Common for the album.  And he might just as well go ahead and use the Nasty song as the lead single, a lot of people just think it is not banging enough...it is not a song that radio would want to play 5 times in an hour. He has already shot the video for the Nasty track in August, so lets see how much buzz the video can create for nas. The pics you are seeing all over the page are from the video shoot in Queens New York.

I do have a feeling Nas is going to capitalize on the forth quarter; if you checked his other album releases, you would know that he has never really been a summer person, but always dropping in the winter...mostly in December. This is going to be his 10th album, and his 17th year in the game since dropping Illmatic in 1994. Let's see what Nas can do with it. Of course there is Drake coming up, but that is going to be in October, and that would definitely have lost some steam by October.
