will.i.am was evacuated from his London hotel this evening after the building caught fire.

The Black Eyes Peas frontman was staying at the swanky London Hilton, a hotel that many of the rich and famous reside in whenever visiting the British capital.

The rapper-and-producer, along with hundreds of other guests, was forced to vacate the 28-storey edifice as lodging personnel and authorities hurriedly ushered their patrons to safety.

At least 20 firefighters are fighting the blaze, the cause of which is still yet to be determined.

The fire, which is believed to have started somehow on the second floor, is now under control. According to London’s Metropolitan Police, no one has been injured as a result of the incendiary surprise.

The hotel itself has recently gone under massive renovation. The extent of damage has not been confirmed.

will.i.am is currently in London with his Black Eyed Peas bandmates as they are headlining the first day of the annual three-day Wireless Festival in Hyde Park tonight.

I always wonder how will.i.am feels sometimes, being like the real workaholic in the group. I think if you take away Fergie and will.i.am, the group is finished. Fergie is the spice that has helped them gain pop recognition in the last couple of years. Before Fergie they were not selling millions. Fergie released her solo effort (The Dutchess) in 2006 and sold over 3 million copies in the U.S alone. will.i.am released his own solo effort, "Songs About Girls" a year after in 2007, and he didn't even make it to the one million mark.

Personally, i think they are great together, but i am really getting tired of the beat switching style that has now become will.i.am's signature. It used to be cool, but it gets tiring after a while. He needs to let people recognize one song for a particular beat, instead of having two beats for one song.
