az talks "firm" re-union

If you have been listening to rap music for over a decade now, then you would know that "dr dre" put up a rap group, in conjuction with nas's then manager, "steve stout", back in 1996, and they dropped an album in 1997. Although the album didn't enjoy commercial success, it was loved by hip hop enthusiast all over the world.

There have been rumors going around about a re-union for a while. When nas was asked about the re-union, shortly before he dropped his "hiphop is dead" album in 2006, he said it was possible, but that it was hard to reach "a-z"; that he had not been in contact with his former rap partner for a while now.

Out of all the members of the clique, nas was and is still the must relevant artist. Back then, it was nas, "foxy brown", "nature" and "a-z"; "Cormega", nas's old time friend was originally slatted to be in the group, but was removed by steve stout for some reasons best known to steve. Must people said it was primarily because cormega was constantly getting into trouble with the law.

Anyway, below is what a-z gad to say about the re-union;
"The Firm album which came out in '97 featuring Nas, Foxy, myself, Nature and Cormega, we actually working on a couple of records so far," AZ revealed in an interview. "Nothing is confirmed, without Nas though, but with Foxy and Cormega, so anything is possible. Keep your eyes open, you dig? The Nas and Damian Marley joint, I mean it's cool. I didn't really get to hear it too much but it's good for hip-hop, it's all good." (Montreality
