Kendrick Lamar Speaks on Second Album Delay

It's been exactly two years since he dropped his major label debut album (Good Kid, Mad City), and the whole world is waiting on Kendrick Lamar to drop his yet to be titled second album. Although he dropped the first single (I) off the album two months ago, there is no tracklist or scheduled release date for the album out there.

In his recent The Breakfast Club interview on Power 105.1 FM, Kendrick spoke on what has caused the delay of his sophomore album.

“The hold up is inspiration really, I don’t get in the studio just to rap. I’m in a space now where I got to actually have something that moves me. Going around experiencing different people and meeting different people and having my own issues in life in general, that inspires me to get in the studio and do what I got to do and say something where the people can connect again just as they did with good kid.” (“The Breakfast Club”)

This kid is definitely one of my favorite rappers right now (of cos, minus his annoying stans), and I can't wait for the new album, as is the whole hip hop world.
