Some Hip Hop Facts You Might Not Know

I usually do this every Saturday, but I'm sorry I didn't post it last week, my laptop was bad. So, here we are again. Below are 7 Hip-Hop facts you might not know.

7.  "Can I Get A" was the first single off Jay-Z's best selling album to date, Vol. 2... Hard Knock Life (1998). Some people might know that, but what most people don't know is that it was Originally Ja Rule's song, for his debut album (Venni Vetti Vecci- 1999), but Jay asked if he could have it instead. The song features Amil and Ja Rule.

6.  Biggie used to open shows for Tupac.

5.  Kanye West still has a metal plate in his chin from his near-death car accident in 2002.

4.  The late Eazy-E actually signed Black Eyed Peas back in the mid 90s, but they didn't get to release an album under his label due to his untimely death in 1995...this was almost a decade before Fergie joined the group.

3.  P.Diddy owns all the rights to Biggie's music.

2.  Tupac Recorded 150 songs in his last year alive.

1.  In 1998, Lauryn Hill released her debut album, The miseducation Of Lauryn Hill. The album sold 422,624 copies in its first week, making it the highest first week sales by a female rapper at the time. The album also made a debut at number 1 on Billboard top 200, making her the first female rapper to do that.
