I still can't believe it is 2013. 2013! Damn! Time flies. Anyway, I would like to list rappers that I feel will dominate the airwaves this year. Check out the list rappers below-
Future
Kanye West
Eminem
Ace Hood
French Montana
Joey Badass
50 Cent
Rick Ross
Big Sean
Drake
Rockie Fresh
Angel Haze
Lil Wayne
Yea, those are the rappers I feel will dominate 2013. The first quarter is already half way and Future is everywhere. He is doing his thing individually, and also lending helping hand to other rappers. He really helped make Ace Hood's Bugatti song a banging hitting. And yea, Ace Hood is another rapper to watch out for. His Trials & Tribulation album is dropping later on in the year, and he already has 2 singles getting heavy spins.
Eminem's 7th album is yet to be titled, but it is sure to drop this year. And you know Eminem is in a lane of his own when it comes to commercially success. I am guessing he would drop the first single from the album by second quarter of the year. 50 Cent is another hot commodity right now. I am still bumping his Major Distribution (feat. Snoop and Young Jeezy) and his new track with Kendrick Lamar heavy on my phone. His album, Street King Immortal is also slated to drop this year.
50 Cent's arch nemesis, and the public enemy number 1, Rick Ross is still doing his thing. Hate him or love him, the the boss is still making boss moves. His 5th album, "God Forigves, I Don't" dropped last year, and has gotten a Gold certification from RIAA. But, the boss ain't slowing down. He already announced that his next album, which would be his 6th in his 7 year career would be titled Mastermind would drop this year. Also, MMG signee, French Montana is dropping his debut album, Excuse My French this year. The album already has a platinum selling single, Pop That.
Rockie Fresh is another rapper to look out for. He has been doing his thing a little under the radar for a while now, but as much as I know Ross's dream for his label, he will push Fresh into the lime light this year. By the way, Rick Ross signed Rockie Fresh to his MMG label last year. Lil Wayne is dropping his I AM Not A Human Being album next month, and all the singles from the album are already enjoying heavy spins on MTV. If he doesn't let all his recent negative press escalate, then he would have a great year.
Kanye West might be making news for his relationship with Kim Kardashian, but he is working on his 6th album, which he plans to drop before the end of the year. Angel Haze is doing her thing, and I don't think any other female rapper has all it takes to blow up at this point in Hip Hop. She is skilled, she got lyrics, and she looks like she has enough fire under her to be consistent. And last but not list, Big Sean has a buzzing single with Guap right now, and is dropping his 2nd album, Hall Of Fame in the second quarter of the year.
