As Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine sold over their Beats By Dre company to Apple last month, 50 Cent believes his SMS Headphones company. That's what he said during his recent interview with ABC 13. I might not like some things about Mr. Curtis Jackson, but I respect his business moves, and I know he is capable of building his SMS Audio Electronics Company to that standard. What people don't understand is that 50 Cent is huge worldwide. Till this day, 50 Cent is still bigger than the likes of Jay Z, and Lil Wayne globally. 50 is huge in countries like South Africa, Nigeria, Germany, Honduras, Brazil...So, don't just look at America and judge how good his headphones company are doing from that alone.
Below is what 50 Cent had to say about his Headphone company being the next to make a major move.
"The success of Beats is great for us. It makes the category understand how valuable our association is to that company," he said. "When they see the company, and see that it sold for $3.1 billion, they go: 'That one is definitely next, that's the one that has the cool factor connected to it while producing quality products.' "If there's another company that does it, it'll be SMS," he said. "So it's like when you're playing basketball in the park: We got next."
