This Week's Top Selling Rap Albums On Billboard Top 200 Album Chart

Wale is at the number one spot of Billboard Top 200 Album chart this week; his The Gifted album sold 158,000 copies first week. Impressive numbers, I must say. Congrats to him for earning his first number one album with his 3rd album...similar to Jay-Z's career. Check out the full list of Rap albums on Billboard Top 200 album chart this week below-

Wale- The Gifted- 158,000 (158,000)

J.Cole- Born Sinner- 84,000 (381,000)

Kanye West- Yeezus- 65,000 (391,000)

Mac Miller- Watching Movies With The Sound Off- 23,000 (125,000)

Macklemore & Ryan lewis- the Heist- 23,000 (867,000)

Kendrick Lamar- 'Good Kid, M.A.A.D City'- 10,000 (949,000)

Lil Wayne- I Am Not A Human Being 2- 7,500 (503,000)

Dessa- Parts Of Speach- 5,800 (5,800)

Dr. Dre- 2001- 2,400 (7,664,000)

T.I- Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head- 2,400 (483,000)

I guess Dre presenting Kendrick Lamar with the Vanguard Award last week at this year's ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Award boosted Kendrick's album sales this week, and also got Dr. Dre's 1999 album back on the chart. Kendrick sold about 7,000 copies last week of his Good Kid, M.A.A.D City album, but sold 10,000 copies this week. Nice! I think he would hit that million mark by August...around the same time Macklemore & Ryan Lewis will also hit the mark with their The Heist album.
