It's so sad to be reading about one of my all-time favourite rappers heading to jail over tax evasion.
Fat Joe pled guilty to tax evasion in federal court yesterday. He didn't pay up to $1 million in back taxes, from monies earned between 2007-2010. He was giving a sentence of 4 months in prison in court yesterday. That's short time, but to think that
Fat Joe would be going to jail over money issues is just not cool. Maybe the time he spends in prison will help him reflect on his rap career. He has been making some really corny music the last couple of years. I'm still a fan, but he needs to stay true to himself and stop trying to make the kind of music the young cats in rap now are making.

Joe had to say about the sentencing-
"At the end of the day, I'm paying all the money
back that's owed—actually I have and I'ma just go like a man, stand up. You gotta understand we hire guys who are supposed have Harvard degrees to take care of us."
He paid $250,000 bail to remain a free man, till he has report to U.S Bureau of prison on August 26 to start his 4 months jail time. Stay strong, Joe!
