Nas's Life Is Good Will Get Pushed Back

This may hurt a lot of fans, but i can bet on anything that Nas's Life Is Good album isn't dropping on July 17th as he said it would. Why do i say this? First off, i watched an interview of his a couple of weeks ago where he said he hadn't completed the album yet. It is official, an artist has to submit his or her complete work to the record label at least two months before release date.

Personally, i think July 17 as a release date for Life is Good was just a tentative, to check the buzz Nas can still generate. I would say the album would be pushed back till like September...or even December. Nas seems to have been very comfortable with the 4th quarter, so i am guessing December. But i def would like it to drop July.

The pic below is of Nas and Meek Mill in the studio yesterday, recording a track for Mill's Debut album. It is possible they might just do a swap deal, and Nas have a track with him on Life Is Good. What Nas is doing right now, with working with Tyga and Wayne and Nicki is to blend in with the current atmosphere of Hip Hop, show them who he is and what he can do, but not compromise his integrity. But a lot of people hvae not been happy with the recent collabs.

Nas has dropped three singles so far (Nasty, The Don and Daughters) from the album, and is about to drop the video for the third one. Judging from twitter, and youtube views, i can say his album is def anticipated. I think Def Jam would definitely back him all the way. Nas isn't known for selling 5 million copies of his albums or anything, but all his albums, minus the last one have gone platinum (8 platinum selling albums). I think, if he doesn't go Plat with this one, he def would go Gold.
