That might be the last time you read the names of the West Coast gangsta rapper and the Broadway diva in the same sentence, but they will be the two biggest debuts on next week’s HITS Album sales chart.
Game’s new Interscope release, The R.E.D. Album, is slated to do in the range of 90-95k in sales, according to one-day reports from those music retailers who haven’t closed up shop and set up Ludo Bites pop-up restaurants. It’s the rap star’s first album since 2008’sLAX and stands for his self-declared “Rededication to hip-hop.” And, oh yeah, dropping the "The" from his name. (hitsdailydouble.com)
Men! I hope they are off by a large margin, because this wont be good for Game's career. I can remember Game taunting 50 cent for selling just 150k first week sales of his Before I Self Destruct (2009) album; i was hoping he would do at least 180k. But things might pick up, as his fans are really riding for him on twitter, and some are going on to buy 10-20 copies of his cd just so he can sell a lot of cd's
50 cent: come on game you will never be my equal ya homies shoot doors my niggas shoot people...see me I'm what ya never gon be... I'm in dat tax bracket ya never gon see...lol
ReplyDeleteGame might not have as much money as 50cent, but at least he is still relevant in hip hop right now. G-Unit is dead!!! And game isn't doing badly in the financial department of his life.
ReplyDelete@anonymous 50 is done, prolly d niggar shot his own foot nahmean.

Yea, the way fans are buying that album on twitter is crazy. I'm definitely sure that he would sell higher than they are projecting.
