B.o.B Says He Would Love to Date Justine Skye

Georgia rapper, B.o.B was on the The Breakfast Club show at Power 105.1 FM radio a few weeks ago, and he got talking about a nasty breakup he had in the not too far past, and how it broke him down. He was then asked to mention a girl in the music industry he would love to date, and he said...

"I don't know men! On the way here, I was in Time Square, and I saw Justin Skye on this Billboard, and I was like...I was like 'Wow!'" (The Breakfast Club Interview)

And then Angela Yee (one of the hosts of the show) told him she had a boyfriend, and then suggested Tinashe to him. But he didn't seem too interested in her suggestion.

Eminem Urges His Fans to Help Families Affected in Manchester Terror Attack

Sad news broke out on Monday (22/05/17), when a bomb went off outside a concert arena in Manchester (England) where Ariana Grande had just finished performing. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the terror attack, which left 22 dead and 100 wounded.

Eminem used Twitter to urge his over 20 million followers to donate to the British Red Cross in helping the victims and families of those affected by the terror attack. Below is the Tweet from Eminem.

Nas's 11th Album is Almost Done

Nas hasn't dropped an album since 2012's Life Is Good, and that was 5 years ago. A lot of his fans are hungry for some new Nas music, and he keeps promising to drop soon, but we keep getting disappointed. He even made a song with DJ Khaled last year titled "Nas Album Done," and yet, still no album.

But it appears he is really focused on getting his 11th album done right now. We don't have a title for it yet, but his brother, Jungle put up a picture of him and Nas in the studio five days ago with this caption- "@nas Studio.. #NasAlbumAlmostDone#HipHop #QueensBridge #NYC."

I am guessing it is for real this time. We might get the album before the end of the year. Nas is fully independent now, and has his own label (Mass Appeal Records), so he can put the album out anytime he wants with no delays.

Drake's Net Worth (2017)

It might be hard to believe, but Drake is richer than his boss, Lil Wayne. Yup! Drake is one of the most hardworking rappers of his generation, and hard-work always pays off. Drake currently has a net worth of $90 million.

How is he worth that much? He has deals with Sprite, Apple, and Nike. These deals bring in money or have brought in a lot of cash for him over the years. His albums sell millions...even his mixtapes go platinum. He grosses tens of millions every time he goes on tour (his Summer Sixteen tour grossed $85 million in 2016). And he has his own label (OVO Sound), with successful musicians signed to him.

General Reactions Online to Lil Yachty's "Teenage Emotions" Album

Lil Yachty dropped his debut album, Teenage Emotions yesterday, and there have been mixed feelings about the album online. I decided to share what people are saying about it on Twitter in this blog post.

Read the general views about the album below...

First Week Sales Prediction of Lil Yachty's "Teenage Emotions" Album

Lil Yachty released his debut album, Teenage Emotions yesterday (May 26th, 2017), and I want to predict what it would sell in its first week. This is his first album, and we can't really quantify his fan base based on Twitter or Instagram followers, as most of those people might be haters, or fans that would probably illegally download his album.

Based on the buzz this album has (negative, positive, and just generally controversial), I would say Lil Yachty's Teenage Emotions album would sell around 80-120k copies first week...plus or minus.

What do you think? You can drop a comment, below.

Drake Says He Loves Nicki Minaj

Collecting awards is not a new thing to Drake, and yesterday was yet another day to collect some awards at the Billboard Awards show at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. During his acceptance speech for one of his awards, he told Ludacris how much of a fan of his music he was, complimented Vennessa Hudgen's dressig, and then went on to also say he loved Nicki Minaj. Hmm! Read his words below...

“I wanna say Ludacris, I know we haven’t always seen eye to eye, but I’ve always been a big fan of yours, man. I’ve got a love for you. I want to let you know that face to face while we’re still here. Vanessa Hudgens, you look incredible tonight...I wanna say Nicki Minaj, I’m so glad we found our way back because I love you and I could never ever ever see it another way,”

Official First Week Sales of Machine Gun Kelly's "Bloom" Album

Machine Gun Kelly released his third album (Bloom) on May 12th, and after a full week in stores, the album sold 49,000 copies. This is the range all his albums sell first week, but this is his lowest first week sales so far. His last album, General Admission (2015) sold 56,000 copies first week.

Anyway, I still have to say congratulations to him. The album was supported by singles like Bad Things, and At My Best.

New Video: Sacrifices (Big Sean feat. Migos)

The latest song off Big Sean's gold selling album, I Decided is titled Sacrifices, and it features all three members of rap group, Migos. Offset sure had the hottest verse out of the Migos on this song.

Remy Ma Speaks on How She Reacted When She Found Out Rappers Use Ghostwriters

It is no big news that some rappers use ghostwriters, but back when Remy Ma was just get
ting on the scene (late 90s), it was more or less unheard of. In her latest radio interview, she revealed how shocked she was when she discovered some of her idols used ghostwriters.

"When I first met Big Pun, and I met Fat Joe, they were like 'so do you rite your own rhymes?' I was like, 'what do you mean.' Like I literally didn't understand. I was like 'What do you mean, like, do I write it? Do I just hold it in my head? They were like, 'No, you actually wrote this?' I'm like, 'Yea, who else would.' They were like, 'you know, most females, they have someone else who...' I was like 'No they don't! Who!' And they like started pulling up like reference tracks. An I'm like...my heart was like crushed in my chest." (Interview on The Cruz Show on Power 106 Radio)

Yup! I know that feeling. I am a big Lil Kim fan and when I heard her reference tracks Biggie made her for her I almost died. It was like finding out that there is no God. Biggie used to write for Lil Kim earlier on in her career. Nas and Jay Z (Especially Jay) wrote most of Foxy Brown's lyrics back in the 90s. And yea, Nicki Minaj ex boyfriend, Safaree Samuels wrote most of her early albums. You have to give it to Remy for writing her own rap verses.

Game's Manager (Wack 100) Beefing with Treach of Naughty By Nature Over Tupac

It appears there is about to be a recorded fight between legendary rapper, Treach (member of the Naughty by Nature) and Game's manager, Wack 100. It all started with Funk Master Flex. Flex has always been a Tupac hater, and he says dislikes Tupac so much cos he believes Pac was the cause of Biggie's death. Wack jumped in the mix, and said something about Tupac not being a real gangster and all that. As a very close of friend of Tupac when he was alive, Treach came for Wack and Funk Flex's heads on Instagram.

Below are some words he had for both men (Funk Flex and Wack 100) in a series of Instagram posts...

"TREACH BOYARDEE JUST BBQ BAKED THESE 2 BITCH BOYS ON A NEXT BANGER CALLED " 2 GUNS & ROSES ", I'M IN L.A., WHERE MY 2PAC RIDAZ@ ?"

"THE LOOK WHEN YOU HEAR #FUCK FLEX DISSIN 2PAC, YOU SAY " FUCK BOY DON'T KNOW TREACH IS A NUT HE AIN'T LETTING THAT SHIT RIDE"!! LMFAO"

"HI BITCH!!, WACK KEEP IT 100 I'M SWITCHED FLIGHTS BEEN HERE IN L.A. for 4 DAYZ LOOKING FOR THAT FADE BITCH BOY, MEET ME IN SUBURB NEAR YOU LMFAO, YOU DON'T EVEN BE IN THE HOOD I DO NIGGA!!"

And then below are responses from Game's manager, Wack 100...

“Yo Treach my nigga. Where you at nigga? Look, what I gotta do nigga? Yo mama’s a bitch, now come out nigga. Bring yo bitch ass out nigga. I’m going to fuck you up. Yo mama’s a bitch nigga. Now come defend yo mama nigga. You’re defending Tupac nigga. Defend your mama nigga. Your mama’s a bitch, a dyke dick-sucking, cum-guzzling bitch. Come on nigga. Where you at nigga? I’m out here. On my dead homies, I’m out here nigga. Where you at nigga? Just say where you at. I’m pulling up, ain’t going to be no talking, and we get straight to it nigga.”

I guess he is trying to get Treach annoyed enough to come and fight him. Let's see how this goes.

Hot Pics of Nicki Minaj

You know Nicki Minaj likes to show off her body just as much as she likes to show off her rap skills. Checkout these hot pics of her she posted on her Instagram yesterday.

Remy Ma Says She Has Never Used Ghostwriters

Although it had been brewing for a minute, the beef between Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj blew up in February when Remy Ma released a direct diss track (Shether) aimed at Nicki. On Nicki's response (No Frauds), she had claims that Remy's husband, Papoose wrote the diss track for her. Remy has come out to dispute those claims in her recent interview, saying her pen game has never been questioned.

Read her words on this below...

“Call anybody I do songs with. Call Swizz [Beatz]. You can go back. Ask [Fat] Joe,” suggested Remy. “Or ask people that’s not close to me. I just did a record with A$AP Ferg. Sat right there, wrote my verse right there.” (The Cruz Show Interview

I believe you Remy. Nicki didn't have no ammo against you so she had to make shit up.

Kool G Rap Has Some Words for Rappers That Use Ghostwriters

The ghostwriter issue became a big topic two years ago when Meek Mill revealed to the world that Drake uses Ghostwriters, and then Funk Flex went on to drop the reference tracks Quentin Miller (Drake's ghostwriter at the time) had made for him. People were disappointed in Drake, but his die-hard fans stuck by his side.

In a recent interview on Sway's radio show, rap legend, Kool G Rap had some mean words for rappers who use ghostwriters. He says they have no place in the top 10 category of the greatest rappers of all time. Read his words below...

“You can’t have ghostwriters and claim to be top five or top 10. You claim none of that. You’re completely out of the game ’cause you’re not creating your own material. The top fives, the top 10’s, the top anything is reserved for the cats that put in 100 percent of that work: writing, thinking of those punchlines, playing with the words, being a real wordsmith. That credit goes to those dudes that put in that work for that, not nobody that gets it done for them...I only deal with dudes that gun theyself. I don’t really support artists that get ghostwriters and all that. I got a track record for working with Nas before Nas came out, Papoose before Pap came out. That’s G Rap’s track record. These are the artists I was working with before they actually got in the game, so that’s where I stand, with the originators.” (Interview on Sway in the Morning)

New Album From Faith Evans and Biggie Dropped Today

Yup! A brand new album from Faith Evans (Biggie's widow) and Biggie himself dropped today; Friday, 19th of May, 2017. I have been waiting for this album for a couple of months now ever since she spoke about it on her Power 105.1 FM interview earlier this year.

The album is called The King and I, and it would have old biggie vocals, and some never before heard Biggie vocals on it. I heard the first single (When We Party feat. Snoop Dogg) off the album, and it was like Biggie, Faith and Snoop were in the studio together. Really lovely production.

It is great that this is coming out 20 years after Biggie's death. It shows how great The Notorious Biggie really was. Checkout the album cover art and tracklist below...

Drake and Tory Lanez End Beef

Drake and fellow Canadian, Tory Lanez have had a long lasting beef over the years, but it appears both have put the past aside, and are probably working on something musical together. They both posted the pictures you can see below on their individual Instagram pages yesterday.

Remy Ma and Papoose Celebrate 9th Wedding Anniversary

Back in May of 2008, when Remy Ma had just started her 7 year jail sentence, Papoose went with his cousin and married Remy right there in jail. That was 9 years ago, on May 14th, and they celebrated that special day on Instagram 4 days ago.

Below are some pictures of Remy Ma and Papoose having fun on their wedding anniversary, 4 days ago.

Checkout this picture of Nicki Minaj and Nas at Nas's New York restaurant, Sweet Chick Life. Nicki posted the picture on her Instagram about a week ago with the caption- "Only KINGS recognize QUEENS. @sweetchicklife has the best food ๐Ÿ‘… congrats @nas" Nas re-posted the post a few hours later. This picture will make more people think the rumors about them dating are actually true, but I am sure it is all for publicity.

Are Jay Z and Solange Having Issues Again?

3 years ago, an elevator footage leaked of Solange attacking Jay Z furiously, with Beyonce standing there doing nothing. If it wasn't for their bodyguard that was holding Solange back, she would have done a lot of damage to Jay Z's body. We still don't know what really caused that fight.

It appears they are having more issues again...this time, it is allegedly over Beyonce's soon to be born twins.

According to Radar Online...

"Solange has really been with Bey a hell of lot, doing prenatal yoga classes with her and rubbing stretchmark oil all over her. However, Jay’s insisting it’s his job to be there during the birth and wants Solange outside in the waiting area. It’s turning into a real standoff and bringing up a lot of past ill will, which is probably why neither of them have thought about asking what Beyonce wants!,”

Nicki Minaj Helping People Out with Their Student Tuition Fees and Student Loans

It's all always good to give back cos the Universe will find more ways to bless you. I really commend Nicki's new move. Last week Thursday, Nicki Minaj got on Twitter and asked students who have issues with student loans (or who want to go to college but have no money) to show her evidence that they are straight 'A' students and she would settle their college tuition fees.

3 Reasons Why I Feel Wale's Shine Album Flopped

Wale just dropped his 5th album, Shine and it sold 25,000 copies first week. I consider this a flop for someone of Wale's status. This is the lowest first week sales of any Wale album since he dropped Attention Deficit in 2009. His last album, The Album About Nothing (2015), which I felt didn't do so good commercially at least sold 88,000 copies first week.

The way I see it is there are the three kings of the new school- J Cole, Kendrick Lamar, and Drake, and then you have Big Sean, and Wale who are top contenders for that top three position. So, for Wale to release an album and sell less than 50k copies first week is a big disappointment.

Below are three reasons why I feel the album flopped.

1.  The J.Cole Diss (False Prophets)
J.Cole might just have seen that song as a way of getting to his friend (yea, they are still good friends to this day), but it did a lot of damage to Wale's career. In this day and age, majority of rap music listeners don't have minds of their own. Once these kids hear someone of authority, or the crowd say something is wack, they are riding with that automatically...and vice versa. J.Cole calling out Wale for not appreciating his fans and being a "false prophet" registered in the minds of the rap music buyers (who are predominantly kids under 18 by the way) that Wale is 'not cool,' and no one wants to be uncool. So, they see the Wale CD in the store, or on ITunes, and just ignore it.

2.  Bad Timing
How would you go ahead and drop a CD two weeks after Kendrick Lamar dropped the biggest album of his career. Damn is not necessarily Kendrick Lamar's best, but Kendrick is at his peak right now, and this is Kendrick Lamar season. These kids don't care about anything else but Kendrick right now. Even the king of sales, Drake is not selling as much as Kendrick right now, so Wale would be worse affected by the Kendrick wave. He should have left the album release at the original date (5th of May), and then done a lot more promotion, instead of dropping the album a week early.

3.  Bad Promotion
I don't know if he is having problems at Atlantic Records, but I feel they didn't do enough to promote this album. I didn't even know it was coming till the day it dropped. Plus, Wale didn't have a strong enough single that could carry the album; PYT, Running Back, and Fashion Week with G-Eazy are all good songs, but they just didn't buzz enough to make people long for the album. Maybe if he had dropped the album around the time PYT was buzzing last year, he would have done better numbers.

Kendrick Lamar's "Damn" Album Goes Platinum

Yup! After just three weeks in stores, Kendrick Lamar's latest album, Damn has gone platinum. For those that don't know what that means, it means it has sold over a million copies.

The album sold 169,000 copies this week and is now at a three week total of 1,012,000 in sales. Congrats to Kendrick. I see the album going double platinum in a couple of months.

Official First Week Sales of Wale's "Shine" Album

I had predicted this album would sell between 120-140k first week, but for the first time in a long while, I was way off on an album first week sales prediction. Wale's Shine album sold 25,584 copies after a full week in stores.

This is really low for someone of Wale's status. I know Wale is a very emotional being, and I hope he doesn't slip into depression because of these low numbers. These are really bad numbers for someone on a major label.

First Week Sales Prediction of Logic's "Everybody" Album

Def Jam rapper, Logic dropped his third album, Everybody today, and I want to predict what it would sell in one week in stores. I predict Everybody by Logic would sell between 140-170k first week.

Logic has a lot going for him and I believe he would have the number one album in America next week. He has the big machine of Def Jam behind him. He has his core loyal fans. He also has a vert catchy album cover for the Everybody album.

What do you guys think it would sell in its first week out? You can leave your comment below.

Former Rocafella Records Videographer Narrates How He Got Almost a Million Dollars from Jay Z

Veteran videographer, Choke No Joke used to be signed to Rocafella Records back in the day, and he handled most of their video recordings of events. In a recent interview, he spoke on how a misunderstanding with Jay Z led to Jay sending his boys to check him, which ended up being more physical than it should have been, leaving Choke with a broken jaw. And in other not to get into a nasty lawsuit, Jay decided to settle him financially.

Read Choke No Joke's narrative of this incidence below...speaking about the first time he actually films Jay Z at a concert.

"He seem like 'who's this dude keep jumping everywhere and filming. So, he go over to Ty Ty, right....Ty Ty go over to Dame. Dame...yo, he work for us, he down with Rocafella...Ty Ty goes back to Jay. Ty Ty goes to Shawn Arnold after that. He said something to him, and I see Shawn Arnold like...he gave him the shoulder like 'do whatever you gotta do.' The show ends. Jay clearly tells Ty Ty, 'yo, get that tape.' Umm! As we leaving the show, me and Dame's walking out. As we walking out, we the last two. Ty Ty jumps in front of the doorway, right. And when he jumps in front of the doorway, I just look at him like, 'what the fuck you gon do?' And he like 'GET HIM!' He tells his boys 'get him.'...Dudes start swinging, they try to jump me, whatever. Dame is standing right there whatever, I'm bobbing, weaving a couple of punches or whatever. One of the dude go and try to kick the camera out my hand, and when he did that I moved it, and when he moves, his foot went like this...it fractured my jaw...when he did that I went and dropped the camera. Ty Ty runs and snatches the camera and dips out the backdoor."

Choke ended up getting his jaw wired at the hospital, and when he got out of admission, he went in search of Jay Z to settle the issue.

"At this time, Jay is on probation for the Un stabbing. So, me being a street dude, am not going to go...for me to get millions, my lawyer told me I had to press charges. Back then, me being...code of the street and everything, I ain't testifying. And I didn't really want to see him go to jail. You know what I'm saying. He's still Jay Z. He is still one of my favorite rappers. You know what I'm saying. So, I didn't press no charges. I called John Meneilly, and I say, 'yo something got to give.' He said 'Yo, Jay gon take care of you. What you want?' I told him a number, they came back with another number, we met somewhere in the middle, Jay paid me, I left it alone. That was it"

After he said this, one of the interviewers asked if his first number he gave was a million, and he said yes. He probably got paid around 200-400k. That's a lot of money. I guess that was really to keep him quiet, and he wasn't meant to speak on this issue ever again. But he did in this recent interview with the Breakfast Club crew on Power 105.1 FM. That part was cut out. The only reason we able to watch that cut part is because, being a videograper, Choke also had his camera set up for the interview.

Watch the uncut part of the interview below.

Nas's Baby Mama (Carmen Bryan) Speaks on How She Helped Nas Break Jay Z Down on Ether

One of the biggest rap beefs of all time was caused by a woman, and apparently, that same woman helped mold one of the greatest rap beef songs in Hip Hop history- Ether. Yup!

Although the reason Nas and Jay Z had beef was cos she was sleeping with Jay Z, when she was still with Nas (some times taking Nas's Bentley out to see Jay), she said she didn't like how Jay Z was going at Nas using her cheating ways as ammo, so she decided to help Nas breakdown Jay Z psychologically, because she knew a lot about him.

While explaining her role in the Nas versus Jay Z beef during her recent interview with DJ VLAD, she spoke on how she helped Nas craft Ether.

"Once I realized what Jay was doing, I was like, 'you know, am not going to allow him to belittle Nas anymore. Like, I'm the only person on the planet that can belittle this nigga. I'm not letting anybody else have that opportunity. And so, I just umm! Called Nas and was like 'alright let's talk.' So, I had a conversation with Nas like an attorney would have with their client. And I just basically told him 'listen, if you want to win this case, you're gonna have to go this route.' Cos I knew what type of person Jay Z was. Jay Z is very...he can be insecure. Umm! He has a little bit of low self esteem in certain areas. And, he's sensitive. And I kind of knew what areas to...you know...we all have sensitivities...we all have, you, things about us that we don't necessarily want the public to know about and I told Nas 'this is your opportunity to do whatever you need to do, but you have to do it all in one song. All of this subliminal...just rock this nigga, and let's move on.'...I told Nas everything that happened between Jay Z and I so that he could write the song consciously knowing what could come back as far as like, you know, a rebuttal."

That was a chess move right there. That was why Super Ugly didn't have such an impact, because Nas already knew what was coming, He knew Jay Z's biggest weapon in the beef was that he had slept with his baby mama. But Nas's biggest weapon was that he had someone on his side that knew all the little intricate details about Jay Z. That's why, apart from stating a lot of facts and dropping the heavy diss lines on Ether, Nas had the funny lines like "Dick sucking lips" attacking Jay's secret insecurities. Lines like "were you abused as a child, scared to smile, they called you ugly" and "you no mustache having, with whiskers like a rat" were the real death blows on Ether. Cos they were the things Jay  had shared with Carmen Bryan in private. They were the things that made Jay Z's soul burn slow. They were the things that made him almost cry on Angie Martinez show shortly after Ether came out.

Wale Speaks About He and J.Cole's Relationship After Their Beef

Right before J.Cole dropped his 4 Your Eyez Only album last year, he dropped a song called False Prophets, were he goes at Kanye West, and Wale. And for those that don't know, Wale and Cole are really good friends, so that record was really unexpected. In his recent interview on Power 105.1 FM, Wale speaks on how he reacted after hearing the song and how he and J.Cole's relationship has been since the song dropped.

"The night before that joint came out right. I will never forget it...me and my daughter's mother, we're not together but we've always remained, we always, at the worst, we best friends. You know what I'm saying. And I was talking to Cole. I was like 'men.' We was just talking about some things that were happening in...at home. Just on some homie shit. You know what I'm saying....Cole always give me good advise...I consider him a real friend. He was just telling me like...he was giving me game. We talked for maybe forty-five minutes that night. You know what I'm saying. And he never mentioned it one bit."

Whoa! That's kinda odd, don't you think? It is interesting to know they are still good friends after that. I guess that song was a way Cole felt he could get to his friend, since Wale wasn't taking his advise of appreciating what he had instead of complaining all the time.

Wale then went on to speak on what happened after he heard the song (False Prophets), and how he recorded his response to the song.

"That night, I went to VA (Virginia) to go watch some high school basketball. I went with my mans and then we went to like three clubs that night, and I got fried, and I didn't want to drive back to all the way to my house. So I stayed in the city. I woke up. I had like 30 missed calls, and like 40 text messages...So, at this point, I was like, I don't know what to expect. So, I hear that joint. You know what I'm saying. As I'm smoking and listening to that joint, riding around, and I'm just like 'take me to the studio. Right now.'...I ain't text him, he ain't hear from me until...he ain't hear from me until I put it out...That joint was down in about ten hours...He got those ideas in his mind because we so close...he felt that way, and the only bad thing is if that might set a narrative for people who don't really know me...But at the end of the day, like me and Cole gon always be friends."

Yea, you heard the man. They are just like brothers who might fight every now and then, but it doesn't mean they will hate each other for life. They would always work things out.
