Eedris Abdulkareem & Ex-President Obasonjo Beef

Nigerian rap pioneer, Eedris Abdulkareen has never been one to shy away from beef. I remember the international controversy he steered up in 2004 when he and his crew had a clash with 50 Cent and his on a plane in Nigeria on the way for a concert performance. Now, he is exchanging words with Ex Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasonjo.

Apparently, Obasonjo has never forgotten the song (Jaga Jaga) Eedris made about the poor state in the country a decade ago when the Ex President was in power. I remember him speaking negatively on the song back then, but it is surprising he still remembers it now; it must have struck a nerve.

In a recent interview, this is what Olusegun Obasonja had to say about the state of the country...

‘One of the worst problems Nigeria is facing is disbelief. Nigerians no longer believe in themselves neither do they believe in their country.

That takes me back to that song “jaga jaga”, how could a sane man dare to call his country jajajaja? It is the height of blasphemy.

We are grooming our youths for tomorrow’s leadership and with such persons I don’t think the country can move forward’.

Eedris fired back with this tweet.

I am guessing Eedris has some crazy backing of some sort, cos this can turn out ugly
