Naeto C (A.k.a, Naetochukwu Chikwe) is a Nigerian Rapper, who is is considered by some as the best rapper in the country. He is signed under Storm Records, and gained prominence in 2006, after his friend Ikechukwu (also a Nigerian rapper) had encouraged him to come from from America to pursue his Rap career. They came home and formed the group, World Famous Academy under Storm Records. Although Ikechukwu got on the scene before him, Naeto C's Success far surpassed that of his friend. Many say this is one of the reasons that lead to their falling out.
Naeto C's singles like sitting on top, Kini Big Deal quickly made him a household name, and a force to reckon with in the Nigerian music scene. And just all over Africa in general. He has released 2 albums since then- You Know My P (2008), and Naeto C Season (2011). In 2009, he won the award for Best New Artist at the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA).
His style is a blend of T.I's breathless continuous flow, and Jay-Z's braggadocios bossy charisma. This makes him very unique. But, he always finds ways to input the local dialect into his music. Apart from his first single (sitting on top), his other hit singles like Akomi ti poju, and Ten over Ten have infusion of local dialects on the hook.
