Carter 4 Retains Number 1 Spot: Rap Albums on Billboard Charts

Tha Carter IV (Deluxe Edition) [Explicit] [+Digital Booklet]Carter 4 is still sitting at the top of the charts, although it dropped 77% in sales from last weeks 964,000 copies. Lil Wayne's Carter 4 sold 219, 000 copies in its second week to now total at 1,184,000. With the way it is going, it might not make it to 3,000,000. It might make it to 2 million, but i don't know about making it to 3 mill.

Kanye West and Jay-Z are holding it down strong with their Watch the Throne Album, which sold 49,000 copies this week. It is now at a total of 836,000 copies; and that is just 160k short of a platinum plaque. I am going to make a bold prediction right here that this album is going to tie with Carter 4 very soon.

And next up is the greatest disappointment on the charts; The R.E.D Album, which sold 19,000 copies this week. Game's 4th album is now at a total of 156,000 copies sold in 3 weeks. I think that is very disappointing for someone who was making fun of 50 cent for selling 160k first week of his last album- Before I Self Destruct. I am a Game fan, and i think The R.E.D Album is in the top 3 best rap albums that have dropped this year, but i think Game destroyed his own career with his shady moves. He lost many fans going at Jay-Z. If he had gone at jay and stuck to it, then maybe it would be cool. But, you go at someone today, and apologize tomorrow, and then go at him again...when you do something like that, people would stop taking you seriously. My advise for game is for him to put in more energy into his career than he puts into minding other people's business.

Bad Meets Evil (Eminem & Royce Da 5'9) sold 17,000 copies of their Hell: The Sequel album this week, and they are now at a total of 516,000. Pitbull's Planet Pit Album sold 14,000 copies this week to now total at 206,000. Eminem appears a second time on the charts with his Recovery album which sold 7,600 copies this week, to total at 4,024,000.

Whiz Khalifa is back on the charts this week with his Rolling Papers album which sold 6,300 copies, and now totals at 570,000. And Ace Hood's Blood, Sweat & Tears album sold 3,700 copies to now total at 52,000.
