Drake's "Headlines" Single

Drake is working on his sophomore album, Take Care that is bound to drop before the year is over, and he just dropped the official first single off it- Headlines. Headlines dropped a couple of days ago...just about a week ago, and i see it going up the charts soon. It is not the type of track that has that immediate "banger" appeal, but i see it creeping up the charts. The track has a nice up-tempo beat, and drake does a sing-song rap to it. Drake has always been known to incorporate a lot of melodious tunes and harmonies to his songs, so you get some of that on this song too. You can check the song out here- Headlines. The track has already gotten 1,500,000 views on youtube.

I like to deviate a little and talk about the whole young money/cash money movement. I think they are going to be around for a long time, and i think the only people giving them a little competition are jay-z and kanye west...and eminem. I think it is safe to say right about now that they own the hip hop scene. They are killing shit! When Carter 4 drops, regardless of whether it has high quality or not, it is going to move a shit load of units. And Game is talking of moving over to Cash Money after he drops his R.E.D album, which completes his obligations at Aftermath/Interscope. I think the key to success is to never give up. I can remember when Cash Money came on the scene in the late 90's, they had Juvenile as their main star, selling 4 million records domestically of 400 Degree (1998). The rest of the movement, lil wayne, youg turk, b.g (with juvenile collectively known as the hot boyz) were also doing very good as well. But some time in the early 00s, sales dropped in cash money, and the artists started living one by one, but baby and slim never gave up on wayne. They kept pushing him, until he helped them build a new empire, the empire that birthed Drake...the empire that birthed Nicki Minaj- I think the rest is history.

Judging from this Headlines single and other tracks that have dropped from Drake in recent times...also, weighing his rap on DJ Khaled's I'm On One single, i think Take Care is going to be better than Thank Me Later. I think Drake is getting better with time.
